Route Introduction
- Starting from Bingzhongluo in Gongshan County, this three-to-four-day trek follows the Nujiang gorge past Stone Gate Pass and Wuli Village to Qiunatong, about 30 km at altitudes of 1,000 to 2,500 m.
- Snow peaks, river bends, suspension bridges, and Nu and Tibetan villages weave together a landscape locals call 'where gods and people dwell.' The dry winter is the best season; summer rains trigger landslides.
- The low altitude poses no altitude risk, but you will cross swaying bridges—watch for falling rocks along the way.
