The Huangpi Mulan Cultural Eco-Tourism Zone is a national 5A scenic area themed around the legend of Mulan. Its heart is Mulan Mountain, a Taoist sacred peak rising some 582 meters, famed for its “seven palaces, eight temples, and thirty-six halls” and regarded as the homeland of the warrior maiden. Pilgrims climb past tiered shrines for sweeping views; at the foot, Mulan Grassland spreads seas of cosmos flowers and equestrian shows; to the east, Mulan Lake offers boating and fishing on vast clear water; and to the northwest, Mulan Yunwu Mountain blazes with azaleas each April. Spend one day on the summit and the prairie, a second on the lake — a journey into Mulan's spirit of loyalty, filial piety, valor, and integrity.
