Save money, time & hassle
Guangzhou–Foshan is one city
Guangzhou metro runs straight into Chancheng and Shunde—no need for taxis across the cities. The Guangfo Line makes transfers easy.
Shunde shops take long siestas
Many famous Shunde eateries close 2–5 pm and reopen at night. Check hours first—plenty serve lunch and dinner only.
Raw fish: follow the crowds
Freshness is everything—choose busy, fast-moving shops. If your stomach is delicate, taste sparingly or go for cooked versions.
Stick to heritage pudding shops
Quality varies wildly at stalls and tourist spots—stick to Minxin, Renxin and similar heritage brands; the Shunde originals are best.
Parking is tough
Parking near the temple and Lingnan Tiandi is scarce—take the metro and walk. If driving, arrive early or park farther out.
