- Starting from Arctic Village (Beiji Cun) in Mohe, Heilongjiang, walk along the Amur River bank past Arctic Sandbar, then transfer by car to Beihong Village and hike up to the First Bend of the Long River lookout and Wusuli Shoal, the northernmost point of China — about 20 km of walking spread over three days.
- These are China's famous northernmost villages: in summer you can experience the midnight sun and, on lucky nights, the aurora.
- Silver birch forests of the Greater Khingan and the border-river scenery feel clean and open.
