Route Introduction
- Little Wutai Mountain, straddling Yu County and Zhuolu County in Hebei, is crowned by East Peak at 2,882 m, the highest summit in the province.
- The classic traverse starts at Chiya Village, climbs through East Ravine to East Peak, then links North, Middle and West peaks before descending at Xijinhekou — roughly 45 km with about 2,500 m of gain.
- In July golden lotus flowers blanket the alpine meadows, with spectacular seas of cloud at sunrise.
