    Start · Entrance
  2. Welcome Hall
about 1550 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight
Take the elevator down into the cave and enter the Welcome Hall: under a huge dome stalagmites stand in clusters, colored lights making it dreamlike; first take in the cave's openness and fantasy. About 30 minutes. Why this route: the Welcome Hall is the prologue to Zhijin Cave, and its vast space immediately astonishes.
  3. Bawang Helmet
about 260 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight
Follow the tour route to see the cave's treasures: the Overlord's Helmet (a giant stalagmite shaped like a general's helmet, about 17 meters tall), the Silver Rain Tree (stone flowers and stalagmites interwoven like a silver rain tree, the finest in the country), and Lingzhi Mountain (a group of stone curtains shaped like lingzhi mushrooms). About 1.5 hours. Why this route: the Overlord's Helmet and Silver Rain Tree are Zhijin Cave's "national treasure" sights, with shapes rarely seen in the world.
  4. Silver Rain Tree
about 450 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight
  5. Lingzhi Mountain
about 110 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight
Continue through halls such as Lingzhi Mountain and follow the route to the exit; the cave walkway is about 4 km, easy going as you look around. About 1 hour. Why this route: Zhijin Cave's karst forms are the most complete and wondrous in the country; only by walking the whole route do you appreciate the "king of caves".
