The Morgole River winds in nine great bends across the Chen Barag grassland, famed as the 'first winding water under heaven' (5A scenic area, 51.42 km²); the classic way is to climb high for the panorama and stay for a grassland sunset. Core route: South Visitor Center by shuttle (about 86 km round trip in peak season) → Viewpoint 1 Haolin Wenduri (panorama) → Viewpoint 2 Xibori Aobao (riverside) → grassland hike/horse riding and a herder home visit on the north bank; watch the sunset from the south bank.
