2. Chongxu Temple

   about 530 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight

   Enter through the main gate and first visit Chongxu Ancient Temple — Ge Hong of the Eastern Jin dynasty refined elixirs and wrote here; ancient trees tower in the temple and incense has burned for a thousand years, making it the ancestral temple of Lingnan Daoism. About 40 minutes. Why this route: Chongxu Ancient Temple is the core of Mount Luofu's Daoist culture; see it first to understand the origin of the "Seventh Cave Heaven."
3. Baishuimen Waterfall

   about 530 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight

   Walk up the trail to see Baishuimen Waterfall — the largest waterfall on Mount Luofu, plunging down with a roar; along the way streams murmur and ancient trees shade the sky. About 40 minutes. Why this route: Baishuimen Waterfall shows the lively waterscape of Mount Luofu, the biggest surprise on the climb.
4. Feiyun Peak

   about 5160 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight

   Take the cableway and walk up to Feiyun Peak (1,296 meters): standing atop the "Number One Mountain of Lingnan," the Luofu ranges and the Dongjiang Plain spread out below, and when clouds and mist swirl it feels like a fairy realm. About 2 hours. Why this route: Only by reaching the top of Feiyun Peak have you truly "been to" Mount Luofu; the summit offers superb views and is the best lookout for Lingnan scenery.
