Liudingshan Cultural Tourism Area, on the south bank of the Mudan River just south of Dunhua, is a national 5A scenic spot uniting the heritage of the ancient Bohai Kingdom capital with Buddhist culture. It features the world's tallest seated bronze Buddha (the 48-meter Golden Ding Great Buddha), Zhengjue Temple, one of the largest nunneries in Northeast China, and the early royal tombs of the Bohai Kingdom at Liuding Mountain. Suggested route: Golden Ding Great Buddha → Zhengjue Temple → Bohai Culture Park → Bohai ruins → Sheng Lian Lake.
