Jurong Maoshan Guide

Real coordinates · smooth curved route
Maoshan rises southeast of Jurong in Jiangsu Province as one of China's most revered Taoist mountains, honoured as the “First Blessed Land and Eighth Cave Heaven” and regarded as the birthplace of the Shangqing (Highest Clarity) school of Taoism. This national 5A scenic area brings together the three great Taoist palaces — Jiuxiao Wanfu (summit), Yuanfu Wanning (seal) and Chongxi Wanshou (lower) — natural wonders such as the Fairy Cave and the Clapping Spring, and red-history sites including the New Fourth Army Memorial Hall and the Monument to Victory in the Southern Jiangsu Anti-Japanese War. From the summit you can survey Jurong city and Maoshan Lake; a half-day tour covers it all.
