Huangguoshu Waterfall in Zhenning, Anshun, Guizhou, is the largest waterfall in Asia and one of the world's great falls — 77.8 m high and 101 m wide. Behind the curtain of water lies Shuilian Cave, allowing a 360-degree view from within. The scenic area comprises the main fall, Tianxingqiao (water stone forest) and Doupotang Fall (featured in the closing credits of "Journey to the West"). Allow 4-5 hours using the park shuttle.

    Walk along the boardwalk through the Water Curtain Cave and view the waterfall from inside. Why this route: Passing through the Water Curtain Cave is the most stunning experience at Huangguoshu.
  4. Doupotang Fall

    Take the sightseeing bus to Doupotang Waterfall (a filming location for the ending of Journey to the West). Why this route: Second stop, Doupotang.
  5. Tianxingqiao
    about 5850 m (straight line) from the previous stop · Sight
    Take the sightseeing bus to Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, then walk through the Stone Forest, Water Stone Forest, and Silver Chain Falls. Why this route: Third stop is Tianxingqiao, about 2 hours.
