Mount Pan Scenic Area Guide

Real coordinates · smooth curved route
Mount Pan Scenic Area, a national 5A attraction in the north of Jizhou District, Tianjin, is hailed as "the finest mountain east of Beijing." Its main peak, Gua Yue (Moon-Hanging) Peak, rises about 864 meters. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited 32 times, famously remarking, "Had I known of Mount Pan, I would not have traveled to Jiangnan." Famous for its "Three Wonders" — pines on the upper slopes, rocks in the middle, and waters below — the mountain blends odd pines, fantastic rocks, clear springs, and ancient temples into one of the most celebrated hiking destinations in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
